Pembroke Pines Charter waltzed into their contest on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pembroke Pines Charter had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 27-25, 25-18, 25-19.

Pembroke Pines Charter was led to victory by Gabriel Castro and Elier Gil. Castro had 11 digs and two aces, while Gil had 21 digs and two assists. Castro has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last seven times he's played.

Pembroke Pines Charter pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Pompano Beach, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
