Football Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 49-14 defeat at the hands of the West Brook Bruins. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 802nd, while the Bruins are ranked 309th).

Although MacArthur took the loss, they still got scores from Joshua Portillo and Korey Fisher.

MacArthur dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for West Brook, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

After each having a week off, MacArthur and Nimitz will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. The matchup will give the Generals their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for West Brook, they will be playing at home against Silsbee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
