Basketball Recap: Waldron Find Success

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Waldron Mohawks beat the Rock Creek Academy Lions 62-57.

Despite the loss, Rock Creek Academy still got an impressive performance from Kalann Brown, who went 10 for 22 on his way to 31 points and four steals. Gavon Taylor was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to eight assists and four steals.

Waldron's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Rock Creek Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

Waldron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-28 victory against Traders Point Christian on the 28th. As for Rock Creek Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-62 win against Crothersville on the 29th.
