Volleyball Recap: Romeoville Comes Up Short

Romeoville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Joliet Central Steelmen. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Steelmen when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19.

Easton Neely paced Romeoville's offense, picking up four kills. Neely got some help from Jasiah Ducksworth and his six assists.

Romeoville's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Joliet Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-17 record this season.

Romeoville will face off against Plainfield Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Joliet Central, they will host Joliet West at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Steelmen surely won't give up without a fight.
