Harnett Central was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in 4A Conference 12. The Trojans beat Western Harnett 16-3 earlier in the week.
West Johnston scaled the state rankings by moving to 159 from 215 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of defeating South Johnston 24-0.
Clayton's Sam May and Doug Edwards have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. May has thrown for 32 yards this season, while Edwards has 3 catches for 22 yards. Harnett Central's Thomas Staton leads the league in rushing yards with 186.
Southeast Raleigh fell to Dutch Fork 41-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
