Baseball Recap: Susquehanna Valley Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Susquehanna Valley lost against Oneonta back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sabers fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 2-1.

Colin Trotter was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Susquehanna Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Oneonta, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

While Susquehanna Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
