Baseball Recap: Leland Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Leland's offense. They came up short against the Los Gatos Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 6-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Leland now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Los Gatos, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Leland will venture away from home to square off against Wilcox at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Leland's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Los Gatos, they will be playing at home against Hollister at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
