Football Recap: St. David Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Hayden + How To Watch

St. David faced Hayden in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers were outmatched by the Lobos and fell 51-14. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Lobos: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, St. David still got an impressive performance from Chase Pacheco, who picked up 53 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Hayden's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kino Lorona, who rushed for 193 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Lorona is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season. Tyler Garner was another key player, gaining 170 total yards and two touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. David fell to 6-1. As for Hayden, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
