Baseball Recap: Palm Bay Comes Up Short

Palm Bay came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-1 to the Eau Gallie Commodores. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Commodores recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Palm Bay's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Eau Gallie, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Palm Bay will square off against Melbourne Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eau Gallie, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Melbourne on the 28th.
