Basketball Recap: Patel Trailblazers vs. Out-of-Door Academy Thunder
Patel had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 33-32 to the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder.
Patel lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emerald White, who earned ten points plus five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Xiomari Matthews, who had eight points.
Out-of-Door Academy found their leader in sophomore Gaby Bichanich, who had eight points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patel will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against North Tampa Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they will welcome Family Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
