Baseball Recap: Grimsley Victorious

It was close, but on Wednesday the Grimsley Whirlies sidestepped the Battlefield Bobcats for a 9-7 victory.

Tai Richmond was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Whitehead, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Grimsley's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Battlefield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Coming up, Grimsley will square off against Page at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Battlefield, they will be playing at home against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pride have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
