Volleyball Recap: Alta Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Alta had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Clearfield Falcons 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Alta wouldn't go down easily and took Clearfield into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 19-25, 15-12.

Clearfield's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Erin Lowry, who had 20 digs and two aces, and Jordan Christensen, who had eight digs and three aces. Lowry is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Alta now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Clearfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-14.

Coming up, Alta will square off against Skyline at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Clearfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
