Volleyball Recap: Boone Grove Has No Trouble Against Hebron

With a playoff win on the line, Boone Grove rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Hebron Hawks 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won nine in a row.

Levi McCoy was the offensive standout of the match as he had 15 digs and two assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in April.

Boone Grove was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive contests.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Antonio Pena, who had 12 digs and one block. Pena has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times he's played.

Boone Grove's record now sits at 21-3. As for Hebron, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Looking ahead, Boone Grove will take on Valparaiso at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. Hebron does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
