Football Recap: Victory Christian Takes a Loss

Victory Christian extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-8. They had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Seminole Chieftains. The Conquerors were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

As for Seminole, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 18, 2024 (when they won 44-14).

Donavin Garfield continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 134 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 315 yards and three TDs while completing 85% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Seminole's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Mason Bennett also helped out as he racked up 161 receiving yards.

Victory Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seminole, they will venture away from home to face off against Heritage Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers' defense has only allowed 11.7 points per game this season, so the Chieftains' offense will have their work cut out for them.
