Basketball Recap: Lebanon Comes Up Short

Lebanon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wilson Central Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Blue Devils have suffered since February 17, 2024.

Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Wilson Central, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 13-11 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lebanon will host Smyrna at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Smyrna knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Lebanon likes a good challenge. As for Wilson Central, they will be playing at home against Stewarts Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
