Softball Preview: Queen Creek Bulldogs vs. Red Mountain Mountain Lions
Queen Creek is 2-7 against Red Mountain since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Queen Creek Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Red Mountain Mountain Lions at 9:00 a.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Queen Creek had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 8-2 to Desert Mountain.
Queen Creek got a good showing from Brooke Curtis, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Emma Reynolds made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
