Baseball Recap: Bishop Kearney Takes a Loss

After flying high against Franklin on Saturday, Bishop Kearney came back down to earth. The Kings fell just short of the Midlakes Screaming Eagles by a score of 10-9 on Monday. The Kings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Screaming Eagles earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Connor Marks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Garrett Rupp was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Bishop Kearney's record now sits at 4-9. As for Midlakes, their record is now 5-7.

Bishop Kearney didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 defeat against Kendall on the 14th. As for Midlakes, they have also already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against Palmyra-Macedon on the 13th.
