Softball Recap: Bangor's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Bangor lost against Brewer back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rams fell 8-4 to the Witches. The loss was the Rams' first of the season.

Sophie Lynch was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Lynch is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Abby Folsom also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bangor fell to 3-1. As for Brewer, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bangor will face off against rival Mt. Ararat at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Brewer is set to square off against their familiar foe Brunswick at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (the Witches have three straight wins, the Dragons have five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
