Softball Recap: Pipestone Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

There's no place like home for Pipestone, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian Flying Dutchmen a 3-0 shutout on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Arrows, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The result came thanks to Mariah Moeller's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Avery Reinhard, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Pipestone pushed their record up to 11-9 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

As of now, neither Pipestone nor the Flying Dutchmen have any future games scheduled.
