Softball Recap: Sacred Heart Academy Extends Winning Streak to Five

Sacred Heart Academy came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the St. Francis Gladiators. The Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.

Sacred Heart Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for St. Francis, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Looking ahead, Sacred Heart Academy will face off against Central Montcalm at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Francis, they will challenge St. Mary at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Gladiators are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
