Basketball Game Preview: Manhattan Indians vs. McPherson Bullpups

The Manhattan Indians will head out on the road to challenge the McPherson Bullpups at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Manhattan narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Hayden 45-42. The 45-point effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, McPherson had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They breezed by the Vikings to the tune of 64-26. The Bullpups have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 26 points or more this season.

McPherson's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Manhattan, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Manhattan was able to grind out a solid victory over McPherson when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 57-46. Does Manhattan have another victory up their sleeve, or will McPherson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
