Football Recap: Ontario Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ontario played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Ashland Grizzlies. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Ontario's loss came despite strong showings from Kobe Monroe and Alex Nunez. Monroe rushed for 67 yards and one touchdown, while Nunez picked up 31 receiving yards and one score.

Ashland found their leader in sophomore Colton Hernandez, who threw for 263 yards and three TDs. Logan Levorse was in the mix as well, providing the Grizzlies with two scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Ontario and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Ashland, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Ontario and Ashland will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Ontario sees the field they'll take on La Grande at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd. As for Ashland, their break will end when they face North Bend at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd.
