Softball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Rams vs. Nashville Christian Eagles

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Grace Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Nashville Christian Eagles and snuck past 6-5.

Brooke Million spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hannah Hodges, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-5.

On Nashville Christian's side, they also let their pitcher toss all eight innings and she was also dialed-in: Reagan Locke gave up four earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Amelia Page was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Anadia Hinton was another key contributor, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and a double.

Even though they lost, Nashville Christian was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with three doubles. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grace Christian Academy didn't hit any.
