Basketball Recap: Cowan's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Cowan had lost three straight headed into Tuesday's matchup, but Savannah Hall didn't let it get to four. The Cowan Blackhawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-34 victory over the Eastern Comets on Tuesday thanks in part to Hall, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last five games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Sizemore, who posted 15 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Cowan's points.

Despite the loss, Eastern still got an impressive performance from Marly Coan, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Mackenzie Eagle was another key player, putting up eight points.

Cowan's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Eastern, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Cowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-21 defeat against Daleville on the 10th. As for Eastern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-31 victory against Taylor on the 8th.
