Baseball Game Preview: Tyee Titans vs. Cedarcrest Red Wolves

The Tyee Titans will face off against the Cedarcrest Red Wolves at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Tyee is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 23-1 margin over Foster on Friday. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Jackson Williams and Richard Tolenoa made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Williams struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Tolenoa pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Williams has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season. At bat, Williams scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Tolenoa went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Williams also brought in three RBI, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, AJ Jackson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brandon Palsis, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Tyee hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foster struck out ten times.

Meanwhile, Cedarcrest entered their tilt with Lindbergh on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 11-1 win. While the Red Wolves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Cedarcrest's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Tyee, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
