            Football Recap: Hollins Royals vs. Weeki Wachee Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            
Hollins had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but  on Friday they dropped down to 0-6 to make it five. They took  a  19-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Weeki Wachee Hornets. The Royals lost against the Hornets in their previous head to head  back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the  48-12 score last time.
 Although Hollins took the loss, they still got scores from  Isaiah Carter and  Kwamaine Powell.
As for Weeki Wachee, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. Those  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.8 points on average over those games.
  Leelen Wright continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 245 yards and two  touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Richard Hanshaw, who rushed for 60 yards and one  score.
 Coming up, Hollins will challenge Seminole at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Royals will be up against the Warhawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Weeki Wachee, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Crystal River at 7:30  p.m.  on  the 17th.
