You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Red Oak's strategy against Terrell on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Red Oak Hawks blew the Terrell Tigers out of the water with a 71-32 final score. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

Red Oak found their leader in sophomore Journee Hodges, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierstyn Totten, who scored ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Terrell lost, don't look at Markeita Shaw. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards. Shaw is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubree Tate, who earned five points and 11 boards.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Red Oak, bringing their record for this year to 14-11. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points per game. As for Terrell, they dropped their record down to 11-17 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Red Oak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 42-40 win against Midlothian Heritage on the 17th. As for Terrell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-41 victory against Corsicana on the 17th.
