Basketball Recap: Willows Comes Up Short

Willows was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were beaten by the Colusa RedHawks 66-39. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Honkers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-48 back in December of 2024.

Cade Smith was nothing short of spectacular for Colusa: he dropped a double-double on 15 points and 24 boards. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jace MacKaben, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards.

Willows' defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Colusa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willows will face off against Paradise at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for Colusa, they will take on Winters at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
