Baseball Recap: Henry Ford Academy Wins Going Away Against Rose Leadership Academy

Henry Ford Academy came out on top against Rose Leadership Academy on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run first inning. The Navigators were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over Rose Leadership Academy. The Navigators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Kobe White was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with six stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Henry Ford Academy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Lynn, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The victory got Henry Ford Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Rose Leadership Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Henry Ford Academy will venture away from home to square off against Lincoln-King Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.71 runs per game on average), something the Navigators will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rose Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against River Rouge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
