Baseball Recap: Rice Lake Comes Up Short

Rice Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the New Richmond Tigers, falling 12-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-3 back in April.

Tanner Koltunski was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Rice Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for New Richmond, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-5.

Rice Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Richmond, they will head out on the road to square off against Eau Claire Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
