Volleyball Recap: Cadott Triumphs

Cadott took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Bloomer, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Blackhawks 3-2. The game was the first time the Hornets have beaten the Blackhawks on their court since September 2, 2021.

Cadott took Bloomer into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-16, 22-25, 28-26, 15-13.

Cadott found their leader in sophomore Olivia Blanchette, who had 19 digs and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Blanchette.

The win made it two in a row for Cadott and bumps their season record up to 21-9. As for Bloomer, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-15.

Looking ahead, Cadott will take on Colfax in a tournament on Saturday. Bloomer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
