Basketball Recap: Prince George Takes a Loss

Prince George was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 64-39 to the Godwin Eagles. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Prince George's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Godwin, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prince George will venture away from home to square off against Colonial Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Colonial Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season. As for Godwin, they are taking a road trip to face off against Deep Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Deep Run has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
