Softball Recap: Terry Rangers vs. Lamar Consolidated Mustangs
After flying high against Fort Bend Marshall on Tuesday, Terry came back down to earth. The Rangers came up short against the Lamar Consolidated Mustangs on Saturday, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on March 3rd.
Terry saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamiyah Breaux, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Another was Jocelyn Villarreal, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
Terry has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12-2 record this season. As for Lamar Consolidated, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.
