Softball Recap: Terry Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fort Bend Marshall on Tuesday, Terry came back down to earth. The Rangers came up short against the Lamar Consolidated Mustangs on Saturday, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on March 3rd.

Terry saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamiyah Breaux, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Another was Jocelyn Villarreal, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Terry has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12-2 record this season. As for Lamar Consolidated, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Terry will take on rival Fort Bend Kempner at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lamar Consolidated is set to face off against their familiar foe Fort Bend Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
