William Quintana-Rodriguez Crosses Big Stat Threshold

William Quintana-Rodriguez produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Chisholm Trail to the win on Friday. Quintana-Rodriguez rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and also picked up 66 receiving yards and a touchdown. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (101.7). He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 73 yards.

Quintana-Rodriguez and Chisholm Trail will square off against South Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will pit Quintana-Rodriguez up against the Scorpions' star running back Douglas Cook. Will the game be decided in the trenches? We'll have our answer very soon.

Paschal Gets a Boost from Thomas in 50-15 Win

Jashaun Thomas's big game helped extend Paschal's winning streak to five on Friday. Polytechnic had no answer to Thomas as he threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown.

This season, Thomas has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 193.8 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 30.4 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 51.4 rushing yards.

A Season-Best Performance from Maki Gee Leads Paschal over Polytechnic

Paschal was led to victory by Maki Gee, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Gee rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

On the year, Gee has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 76.7 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 13.33 rushing yards per game.
