Flag Football Recap: Sunrise Mountain Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Sunrise Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Horizon Huskies. While the Mustangs had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Huskies 7-0.

Ingrid Sandoval threw for 141 yards and one touchdown. Shae Kelly was her top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Sunrise Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Horizon, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Sunrise Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-7 victory against Centennial on the 23rd. As for Horizon, they will venture away from home to face off against North Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th.
