Baseball Recap: North Kansas City Comes Up Short

North Kansas City came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Oak Park Northmen, falling 13-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Hornets' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

North Kansas City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniyal Ahmed, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Ahmed is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

North Kansas City's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-22. As for Oak Park, they moved to 14-22 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

North Kansas City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-7 defeat against Central on the 16th. Oak Park has also already played their next contest (against St. Pius X), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
