Preview: Lake Braddock Bruins vs. Fairfax Lions
The Lake Braddock Bruins will be playing at home against the Fairfax Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Braddock is out to stop a 14-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Lake Braddock suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 75-54 walloping at the hands of Alexandria City. While losing is never fun, Lake Braddock can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while Alexandria City is ranked 13th).
Fairfax posted their closest win yet this season on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Woodson 40-37.
Cam Love continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Elijah Thomas was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds.
Lake Braddock's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Fairfax, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
