Softball Game Preview: Narbonne Gauchos vs. Santee Falcons

The Narbonne Gauchos will take on the Santee Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Narbonne has nine straight wins, Santee has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Narbonne had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt USC-MAE on Wednesday. Narbonne put the hurt on USC-MAE with a sharp 12-2 victory. Considering the Gauchos have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Cheyenne Bennett, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Anaiya Anderson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Santee had taken Orthopaedic down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. Santee lost 15-1 to Orthopaedic.
