Basketball Recap: Desert Mirage Takes a Loss

Desert Mirage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles and fell 64-26. The RAMS were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.

Desert Mirage lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Chris Ramos, who posted four points. Ramos is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Adan Martinez, who scored six points and five rebounds.

Desert Mirage's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Desert Hot Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Banning the next time they take the court. Desert Hot Springs will host Banning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Desert Mirage will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
