On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Branson/Kim's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Collin Doherty was the leader with two.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Primero beat Walsenburg 30-24 on Friday.

Branson/Kim better keep an eye on Gabe Sintas. He was instrumental in Primero's win, rushing for 194 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 124 yards and one TD.

Primero's run defense was locked in: Walsenburg could only muster 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Kailain Sanford for the heroic effort on defense: he. Primero didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.5.

Primero didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Josh Pachorek and Jeremiah Montoya. Montoya is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Saturday's contest might be decided on the ground. Branson/Kim has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 154.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Primero struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 218.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Branson/Kim didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Primero when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 36-32 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bulldogs' Brett Kendall, who rushed for 174 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries, and also threw for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Now that he won't be playing on Saturday, will it be easier for the Bearcats to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
