Basketball Recap: Shawnee Heights Takes a Loss

If Shawnee Heights was riding high fresh off their 63-18 takedown of Lansing last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seaman Vikings on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Vikings are ranked fifth).

Shawnee Heights' loss dropped their record down to 9-5-2. As for Seaman, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee Heights will welcome De Soto on Friday. As for Seaman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Piper on February 18th.
