Softball Game Preview: Cabrillo Jaguars vs. Lakewood Lancers

Cabrillo is 0-10 against Lakewood since March of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Jaguars will head out to face off against the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. Cabrillo has given up an average of 16.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cabrillo is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Compton on Tuesday as they made off with a 45-26 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Jaguars as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Lakewood fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Woodrow Wilson on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 7-6. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cabrillo's win bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Cabrillo might still be hurting after the 18-0 loss they got from Lakewood when the teams last played on April 1st. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
