Soccer Game Preview: Foothill vs. Reedley

The Foothill Trojans will square off against the Reedley Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Foothill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Foothill took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over South. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Trojans were the better team in the second half.

They hit South with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alexander Machuca Diaz, Benjamin Davila, and Bryan Lopez Ortega.

Meanwhile, Reedley hasn't lost a match since December 11, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. They and Central Valley finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw.

Foothill's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four matches. With that draw, Reedley's record moves to 6-2-3.
