Preview: Crossland Cavaliers vs. Gwynn Park Yellowjackets
Crossland is 1-8 against Gwynn Park since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Crossland Cavaliers will head out on the road to face off against the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Crossland had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northwestern.
Meanwhile, Gwynn Park couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 59-50 to Hayfield on Tuesday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Nala Abraham, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Davis Geormaya, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
Crossland's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Gwynn Park, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-1.
