Baseball Recap: Chanhassen Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Chanhassen hadn't done well against Minnetonka recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Storm sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Skippers. While the Storm didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Chanhassen pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Minnetonka, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Chanhassen and Minnetonka should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Storm (ranked 63rd) will meet Jefferson (ranked 294th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Minnetonka will face off against Buffalo at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (28 vs. 121).
