Basketball Game Preview: East Central Hornets vs. San Marcos Rattlers

The East Central Hornets are taking a road trip to face off against the San Marcos Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: East Central has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while San Marcos will arrive with nine straight wins.

Last Saturday, East Central came up short against Alexander and fell 61-52.

Meanwhile, San Marcos strolled past McCollum with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 62-48.

San Marcos' victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for East Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

East Central was able to grind out a solid win over San Marcos in their previous matchup back in January, winning 56-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
