St. Anthony took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Effingham, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Flaming Hearts on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matchups in a row.
Nancy Ruholl spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits.
