Basketball Game Preview: Arroyo Dons vs. Hayward Farmers

Arroyo is 2-8 against Hayward since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Arroyo Dons will take on the Hayward Farmers at 7:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, Arroyo ended up a good deal behind Encinal and lost 53-38. The matchup marked the Dons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Hayward beat Encinal 53-48 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Farmers.

Hayward has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Arroyo, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Things could have been worse for Arroyo, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-46 loss to Hayward in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Arroyo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
