Basketball Game Preview: Marysville Getchell vs. Stanwood Spartans

Marysville Getchell and Stanwood are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. Marysville Getchell will head out to face off against the Stanwood Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Marysville Getchell is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Marysville Getchell will head into Tuesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 40) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Snohomish 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Marysville Getchell has posted since December 14, 2024.

Meanwhile, Stanwood ended up a good deal behind Everett on Tuesday and lost 60-46. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stanwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Marysville Getchell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Marysville Getchell beat Stanwood 65-55 in their previous meeting on January 3rd. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marysville Getchell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
