Softball Recap: South Fork Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

South Fork fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Ferndale on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-6. The Cubs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 10-1.

South Fork saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendall Kercher, who went 2-for-5 with one run.

South Fork's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5. As for Ferndale, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: South Fork beat the Wildcats by a score of 17-4 later that day.
